MMB has expanded and strengthened its position in the management software market by acquiring a holding in X-Data srl. The deal, which was made official in October 2020, led to the acquisition by the MMB Spark Group, MMB Software's parent company, of A 55% holding in the Bologna-based company X-Data, a well-established player in the tyre distribution market as well as the producer of management software for tyre shops.
Our sole director Omar Montanari explained that the aim of acquiring a holding in X-Data was to “focus on the company’s horizontal growth by making it possible to achieve strategic objectives as quickly as possible. The acquisition is another step towards achieving our strategic plan, which aims to supplement our product range while enhancing complementary skills and gaining excellent know-how in the vast world of tyres.” Stefano Rossi – CEO of X-Data – emphasises this view of the venture, “A co-operative venture created to offer sound and structured solutions, a shared strategic choice to grasp unexplored opportunities and challenges in a continually developing market”. The agreement with X-Data, a Bologna-based company with 35 years of service and a benchmark in the tyre market, expands the group to a consolidated turnover of more than EUR 9 million, 95 employees, nearly 4500 customers, 40,000 installed software applications and about a hundred authorised dealers throughout Italy.
